Climate is the weather of a specific region averaged over a long period of time, sometimes over a period of 30-40 years. The benefit of averaging weather elements, such as temperature and rainfall, is that it is possible to identify what the weather is typically like in a place and is not unnecessarily influenced by unusual weather events.
