Technology and connectivity have improved development for different groups in Indian society. Some are now able to start businesses because they can now accept payments online and do not have to travel to go to the bank.




Some cities have become centres for research and development, such as Hyderabad and Bangalore, with multinational companies such as Google locating there. Many Indians are employed as software developers and hold senior positions within the company.

Improvements in connectivity now mean even people in remote locations can access services. Food rations are now distributed using biometric data in some areas.
